Tissue box cover antique mahogany regular size

This handmade tissue box is covered in select ribbon striped African Mahogany veneers then distressed to add the aged patina and top coated with catalyzed lacquer.One of the true mahoganies and renowned for use in fine furniture. Darker and somewhat coarser than Honduras Mahogany.

The inside dimensions are 4 3/4" x 9 3/16"x 4 1/4" tall. Box walls are 1/4" thick , box does not have a bottom. The cover fits as a sleeve over the top of the cardboard tissue box the opening fits nicely with the oval shape of the box.
