Tissue box cover exotic American walnut veneer reg size

This handmade tissue box is covered in select American walnut. veneers. American Black walnut is typically darker than its European cousin. Because of its color, hardness and grain it is a prized furniture and carving wood. Walnut burls (or 'burrs' in Europe) are commonly used to create bowls and other turned pieces. Veneer sliced from walnut burl is one of the most valuable and highly prized by cabinet makers and prestige car manufacturers.

The inside dimensions are 4 3/4" x 9 1/2"x 4 1/4" tall. Box walls are 1/4" thick , box does not have a bottom. The cover fits as a sleeve over the top of the cardboard tissue box the opening fits nicely with the oval shape of the box.
